Veteran actor Atul Parchure has died at the age of 57

Veteran actor Atul Parchure has died at the age of 57. Sunday, he also lost his battle with cancer.

Well-known Marathi actor Atul has acted in many Hindi television shows and films and was once a part of Kapil Sharma’s comedy show recently.

On a previous talk show appearance, he revealed he was diagnosed with cancer when doctors discovered a 5cm tumour in his liver.

In an interview, he expressed the gravity of the situation, saying: “I was told I have a tumour about 5cm long in my liver and it is cancer.”
Atul Parachute, however, went through a degree of treatment that hurt his health as a consequence of a misdiagnosis.

He recounted: “With the diagnosis, the first procedure went wrong and I never fully recovered, it ended up affecting my pancreas. It also only served to make my condition worse. I could barely walk and couldn’t speak correctly. The doctor called me to wait a month and a half in that state.

“They said surgery could leave me long term jaundiced, or with very serious liver complications which could, frustratingly, kill.” Eventually, I took two, then three, and eventually, my case was so bad I had to see a second opinion, switch doctors and get proper…

Mostly remembered for his comic performances, Parchure was known for his work in films and television.

Some of his work gained popularity through various projects, namely ‘Priyatama’, ‘Turk Mhatare Arka’ and ‘Vasu Chi Sasu’.
His filmography boasts appearances in movies such as ‘Navra Mazha Navsacha’, ‘Salaam-E-Ishq’, ‘Partner’, ‘All the Best: Among them are Fun Begins’, ‘Khatta Meetha’ and ‘Bbuddah Hoga Terra Baap’.

But his versatility as an actor won him huge popularity in the Marathi entertainment industry.
