**NLU Delhi Third Year Student Dies: An Obituary**
Tragedy has struck National Law University campus, Delhi as one of it’s the third-year students lose their dear life. The student whose identity will be kept anonymous for the families’ sake was an exceptional learner at NLU who was devoted to success and full engagement on campus.
The student died in an unpredictable incident, making the whole university community to mourning and in a state of disbelief. It happened on the weekend and the news of the death of the student reached most of the people within the college, students as well as members of faculty.
The authorities of the NLU Delhi has condemned the unfortunate event and has stated their deep sorrow for the incident. In their official message, the university referred to the student as a ‘rising star’ adding that the institution will be all the worse off for the loss of the promising character as a member of the campus community. The statement also expressed the condolences to the family of the student, pointing out the suffering that the family should be going through.
Grievenace has thus struck a blows in the university community after the incident of the student’s death. Student’s friends have flooded social media platforms and the university discussion forums to universal mourning messages and jokes about him. They recall the student as a serious student who focused and highly intelligent but always ready to assist those around him or her. The student was a very ‘extroverted’ character and participated in many of the students’ organizations and was particularly loved because of the energy he/she showed anytime there was a debate/ discussion or every other activity.
To commemorate the event, the university has arrange memorial lectures and counseling programs to students and staff to help them overcome this sad incident. A candle was lit on the campus; students and the faculty members came together for offering condolences. The vigil provided a platform where people could come and share how the student had impacted on the society, and in this way help was found with friends and families.
Moreover, the university has provided counselling to the students so that they deal with the feelings of loss as a result of the tragedy. Mental health has been available to offer support to some of the people who may be having some sorrow or even consoling session.
The administration has also said that adequate arrangements have been made to create scholarship or memorial fund in the name of the student to make his memory to live on. This should be done in a way that will benefit the university, and at the same time uphold the values of the student who has passed on in a way that can benefit as many people as possible in the university.
The loss of a young life is never easy and thus, NLU Delhi will continue to extend support and working to comfort all those who are mourning the loss of that young life. NLU as a university stands firm in solidarity in this loss and we shall hold the community’s hand as we try to recover from this tragedy and in the process remember the joyous moments of the student who impacted the lives of all around him during his time at NLU.
It appears that for NLU Delhi the student was one of the brightest spirits that will be sorely missed as the university struggles to come to terms with the loss. This will be the history of these people and the numerous lives they affected and values they brought to the university.
