Few things that N Chandrasekaran said in a statement
To the outside viewer, Mr. Tata was more than chairperson of the Tata Group. He was my role model, my teacher and most importantly my friend. He inspired by example. Even more critically, during his tenure as the chairman, the Tata Group pursued growth on a global scale with immense focus on excellence, integrity, innovation as well as strong ethics.
Mr Tata has been passionate for philanthropy and growth of society which improved millions of people lives. Regardless of the sector he focuses on – it could be education, health care, etc., his endeavors have created a positive favorable long lasting impact that shall take generations to reverse. Backing up all of this was the ‘down to earth’ demeanour of the revered Mr. Tata with every little person.
I would like to express Tata group’s sorrow for the loss on behalf of the Tata family to his family. The principles that He stood for are something we shall emulate as we try to reign in the new order as He did.
