Pratul Prakash Does The Jaipur Police Arrest Serial Rapist In Their State Who Filed 14 Rape Cases Since 2016?
This is a new story about a woman named Bhavna Sharma in Rajasthan who filed a fake rape complaint against an advocate on 19th May. The woman who was alleged to have accused the advocate of raping has a history of filing cooked-up rape cases in other cities to help her solicit money. When her advocate filed a case in the district court claiming her to have falsely registered rape case against him to collect money he was immediately arrested.
The first instance of a complaint against Bhavna Sharma at Sadar Police Station was registered on 8th May. According to police officers, the accused alleged Bhavna Sharma has lodged 14 cases of rape and blackmail in different police stations in the last eight years from 2016 till the date i.e 2024.
Bhavna Sharma: A Heinous Criminal’s Modus Operandi.
In the complaint, Bhavna Sharma is accused of trying to befriend Nitin Meena with a view of marrying him. During negotiations she demanded money from him not wanting to pay him and when he refused she called the police and told them that he raped her. Nitin Meena responded with the fact that having filed similar cases against other individuals as well. In fact, in one case, Bhavna registered a rape case against Meena at the Jyoti Nagar police station.
Before realizing their mistake, the police arrested Bhavna Sharma on receiving the complaint. She was paraded before the judge and remanded in police custody. Through the investigation Further it has been revealed that she had filed 14 cases and many were frivolous cases. In some of the cases the final report already known as FR has been filed and rejected them as baseless . In some instances, the investigation about the source of their money is still ongoing.
DCP Guru Sharam Rao of Special Investigation Unit for Crimes against Women further told the media that Bhavna Sharma was charged for the involvement in extortion during the investigation process. The police procured numerous evidences such as transaction records that substantiated her indictment. Reportedly, she was arrested on charges of Section 388 and 504 IPC.
Bhavna Sharma’s Case Filled Since 2016.
There was the first case filed on Bhavna Sharma by her in Shyamnagar police station on dated September 2016 under Sections 323 and 341 of IPC. In the same month she filed the other case against the same man under Sections 376 and 354 of IPC. The first case was filed in the chargesheet and the second matter had a person acquitted.
The third case was filed in Jyoti Nagar Police station in the month of October 2018 under Sections 376, 307, 354 and 500 of the IPC by the RGPB member Bhavna Sharma. A reports have been presented in this case.
The fourth case was filled by her in may 2019 at Kanota police station the sections 376D, 377, 354, 307, 342 and 323 of the IPC against four Five men. PI came to fore in the case of FR.
Case 5- It was filed by her in May 2020 in DLF PH3 police station in Gurugram under sections 376(2)N and 420 of the IPC. The flesh is acquitted whereas the accused is convicted for 344 CrPC transgression in March 2022.
A sixth case was instituted with Bhavna Sharma at the Shipra Path police station in January 2021 under Sections 376(2)N and 420 of IPC. FR has been filed and acknowledged by court in this case n2.
Another case filed by Sharma was in February 2021 at Pachore Rajghar police station under sections 376, 376 (2) N, 342 and 506 of the IPC. It was reported that the case is under investigations.
The 8th case was filed in June 2022 by her in at Chitrakoot police station under Sections 323, 341, 354, 506 of the IPC and Section 66 of the IT Act. The FR has been adopted by the court with respect to the matter.
The ninth case was filed by her in June 2022 at Nagar police station in Hyderabad in sections 376(2) N, 354(D), and 506 of the IPC. The FR has been filed in this case successfully.
Her tenth case was registered by her in June 2022 in suket police station in Kota under sections 376 354 354D 342 323 313 450 120B IPC. The investigation of this was done and an inquiry is being carried out.
The eleventh case was filed by her at sections 228A, 500, 501, 506, 509, and 120B of the IPC and section 72 of the IT act in 2023 June. The FR has been made in the case.
The twelfth case was filed by her in June 2023 at Shyam Nagar police station and the complaint was registered under IPC Sections 376, 354, 420, 341, 323 and 120B. The case is being further pursued as we speak.
The thirteenth case was filed by her in December 2023 at Mahesh Nagar police station under the Offences of Rape; Sodomy; Assault or Criminal Force to Woman with Intent to Outrage her Modesty; Assault , Molestation; Criminal Intimidation; and Dishonest Misappropriation of Property.
The latest instance was in 2024 in April when she registered a case against the accused in the Jyoti Nagar police station under Sections 376, 384, 195A and 120B of the IPC. The matter is pending.
Besides the recent case, two other FIRs were registered against her in 2018 with the November court order and the first with the May 2023 FIR.

According to investigations; Bhavna Sharma simply called up the victim claiming that she needs legal advice. She posed as an advocate of it. First there was the 7,000 which she borrowed from the victim under speculation that there was an emergency. Eventually, she began raising her charges and she would threaten the victim with conniving cases against him when he refused to pay. Sharma then filed a case of unlawful sexual activity against the victim at the Jyoti Nagar police station because the victim withdrew from him.
After Sadar Police enrolled her because of the complaint filed by the victim on 19th May. However ACP Amit Kumar revealed that she was arrested and subsequently was taken to police custody.
Legal History of Bhavna Sharma: Prior Legal Actions filed against her.
It is to be mentioned that, Bhavna Sharma had a habit of filing multiple false rape, molestation and assault charges. From these, the police have already filed charge sheets in three rape cases and another in an assault case. There have been FRs filed in nine other cases. Among one of them the investigation is not completed yet.
It is also important to note that once, in one of the cases she went to a Gurugram court giving a different statement to the one she had given to the authorities resulting in the imposition of a penalty on her by the court for filing a false case. Bar Association has has also demanded for proper investigation upon her.
Bhavna Sharma’s background is being investigated to find out anything that might help the police uncover her extortion programs. This pattern of false cases filed and money extortions has been worriesome and the truth of the cases she had filed are being investigated.
