Mumbai: 9 people got injured in stampede at bandra railway station

The stampede occurred around 2:They were mostly waiting for the Train No. 22921 – Bandra-Gorakhpur Express which was scheduled to leave at 5:10 a.m.
On the basis of details received from BMC’s Disaster Management Cell, the medical officer at the hospital affirmed that nine passengers has sustained injuries and were admitted to the hospital. Out of them, two passengers were said to be in a critical state and the other 7 passengers have moderate injuries.
The injured passengers are as follows: The patients are Shabbir Abdul Rehman, 40 years, male, stable; Parmeshwar Sukhdar Gupta, 28 years, male, stable; Ravindra Harihar Chuma, 30 years, male, stable; Ramsevak Ravindra Prasad Prajapati, 29 years, male, stable; Sanjay
Investigations also continue in concert as to the cause of the stampede. Additional changes are still anticipated as the conditions evolve.
Some of the source added that the train is in general class coaches. Whenever the train was approaching a station, passengers attempted to board the coaches when they were moving.
