Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Issues Deadly Warning: Threatens Those Who Help Salman Khan After Baba Siddique Killing
The Lawrence Bishnoi gang is not only claiming to have killed Baba Siddique but also warned saying that anyone extending support to actor Salman Khan, near whose house the gang has fired a warning shot earlier.
A day after Mr Siddique, a three term MLA and former Maharashtra minister was shot dead near the office of his son, MLA Zeeshan Siddique in Bandra East on Saturday night, there were strong indications that the daring criminal act had a link to the Bishnoi gang. This was confirmed on Sunday after a post on the wall of Facebook by one Shubuu Lonkar, believed to be one of the Bishnoi gangmen Shubham Rameshwar Lonkar assumed responsibility.
Police informed that the latter, posted when Lonkar was in jail, was done by his brother Pravin Lonkar, who was arrested on Sunday evening.
In the post, Lonkar made a statement that Siddique had been murdered owing to connection with India’s most wanted man Dawood Ibrahim, being a pals with Bollywood star Salman Khan and for the death of Anuj Thapan, one of the suspects arrested for the attempted shooting outside Mr Khan’s residence.
Thapan succumbed to death on the 1st of May in a Mumbai Crime Branch lock-up. The police had alleged that he committed suicide but his kin alleged that he was killed by tortute in custody.
“We have no problem with anyone but anyone who supports Salman Khan and the Dawood gang let him prepare hisbalance sheet (hisab-kitaab kar lena),” says Vijay Lonkar in his FB post in Hindi. Police have also stated that they are going through the post to establish its credibility.
Siddique used to throw big parties, and a five years’ cold war between Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan was ended at iftar party that he hosted in 2013.
The police sources said to have two celebrities assaulted by the Bishnoi gang for being close to Salman Khan since the last year. Mr Khan went to the hospital where Siddique was taken after he was shot on Saturday, and also to his home the following Sunday.
Canada’s Vancouver Premises of Punjabi singer Gippy Grewal was targeted with the firing in November of 2023 and the Bishnoi gang had stated that they had fired at his house since Gippy Grewal had supported Mr Khan and ‘treated him like a brother’.
Mr Grewal had testified in court that he only knew the actor personally and had only met him twice.
Earlier this year in September, bullets were opened near the house of another Punjabi singer AP Dhillon in Vancouver. Delinquent Lawrence Bishnoi gang supreme malicious member Rohit Godara had identified the shooting as the work of the group. The firing took place after Mr Dhillon posted the video of his song ‘Old Money,’ where the Bollywood actor, Salman Khan is featured.
Why Salman Khan?
The Bishnoi gang that recently shot dead Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala has warned Salman Khan that he would be the next on the hit list stating that he had shot blackbucks at Bawad in Mathania near Jodhpur in September 1998, while shooting the film ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’.
The said act had angered the Bishnoi community as blackbuck is considered as holy by the community.
Lawrence Bishnoi had said during a court appearance in 2018: This is how it will go down:: ‘We will eliminate Salman Khan in Jodphur’. They will all know once we are able to come into action. As of now, I have not done anything, they are charging me for crimes I did not commit.
Heightened Security
On the other hand, security has been beefed up around Salman Khan’s residence Galaxy Apartments in Bandra following firing incident outside the residence on April 14. Mr Khan had later told the police he thought he was targeted because of the Bishnoi gang to ‘finish him off and his family’.
Security has also been beefed up in the Malabar Hill area of South Mumbai where Shinde, Fadnavis and Pawar live. Siddique was a 48-year Veteran of the Congress who had crossed over to Mr Pawar’s party this year.
Authorities added that having noticed such cases in Malabar Hill, outstanding patrols have been conducted, and some points have been closed.
