Judge for special court grants HD revanna bail in sexual abuse case.
It wasn’t until this week, when a court in Bengaluru released MLA HD Revanna on bail for allegedly sexually abusing his son Prajwal, a member of the Lok Sabha.
He said that Judge J Preeth of the Special MP/MLA Court at Bengaluru granted the bail plea but a condition in the form of PROFORMA for executing a personal bond for ₹5 lakh with two sureties and cooperation with the investigation is provided.
His sexual insatiability came to light in more than 2900 videos that were found circulating sexual assault of several women.
It was on 28th April that the Hassan district police filed a case against Prajwal Revanna and HD Revanna under Section 354A (sexual harassment), Section 354D (stalking) 506 (criminal intimidation) and 509 (insult of modesty of a woman) of the Indian Penal Code at the Holenaraseepur police station.
The criminal case was launched on the basis of the victim’s complaint. BK Singh, a senior Indian Police Service (IPS) official has been assigned to probe the case under a Special Investigation Team (SIT).
That was after a political outrage following the aftermath of the Lok Sabha April 26 election.
CV Nagesh was representing the senior advocate for Revanna.
Co-Prosecutors Ashok Naik and Jayna Kothari also provided assistance to the prosecution.
HD Revanna who was arrested in connection with the sexual abuse allegations against his son was released on bail concerning the kidnap case.
