Baba Siddique Shot Dead: Ex Maharashtra minister and NCP stalwart Baba Siddique was shot down in Mumbai on Saturday.

After the incident Siddique was immediate taken to Lilavati Hospital nevertheless, he died due to his severe injuries.

People wait anxiously outside the hospital – his supporters are among them.

Mumbai Police also claimed that two persons were arrested as soon as the incident took place.

Mukul told that out of the arrested accused, one is from Uttar Pradesh and the other from Haryana, and third accused has escaped arrest. Of the unexpected statements of Shinde, one that clearly stands out is demanding that the police takes tough measures.

The Deputy Chief Minister and Nationalist Congress Party chief Ajit Pawar also said it was very unfortunate and condemnable act.

In February this year, Siddique, a three-time MLA from Bandra West, switched over from Congress to Ajit Pawar led-NCP in anticipation of the Lok Sabha polls.

Lilavati hospital was also visited by Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis.

The senior BJP leader Kirit Somaiya has said that Baba Siddique murder is something to worry about.

This should be being investigated by the government and form a special team for this. It probably emerged as the biggest conspiracy ever. Immediate action should be taken,” opined Somaiya.

Shahnawaz Hussain a BJP leader condemned the horrific incident and expressed his grief over the killing of NCP leader Baba Siddique. For me personally I hope that Almighty shall provide his family with strength to endure this loss. This is my intent that my thoughts and prayers are with them.”

On the other hand, responding to the incident, Shiv Sena (UBT) spokesman Anand Dubey asked if even Ex-MLAs are not safe then how will this government safeguard the aam admi.

“If former MLAs are not safe in our city Mumbai, if leaders of the government are not safe then how will this government protect the common people? If they cannot protect their MLAs, their ex-ministers then Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’s Home Minister should resign. He has no more privilege to remain as the Home Minister to his(del) Presidency. for NCP leader Arjun Desai, repeated Eknath Shinde has no right to remains the CM of the state, spoke Dubey.

SP/ NCP leader Sharad Pawar expressed concern as to how the law and order situation had come down to such pathetic levels.
