Ex-Italian PM Wills Over 900 Crore To 33-Year-Old Girlfriend
According to reports in The Guardian, former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi, who passed away a month ago, left his 33-year-old lover Marta Fascina a bequest in his will consisting of 100 million Euros (Rs 9,05,86,54,868). It is believed that the empire owned by the three times former Prime Minister of Italy is worth more than 6 billion Euros.
In March of 2020, Ms Fascina, who was serving as a representative for Forza Italia at the time, began a romantic connection with Mr Berlusconi. According to reports, Mr. Berlusconi referred to Ms. Fascina as his ”wife” when he was on his deathbed, despite the fact that they had never been married officially.
Since the election for the lower house of the Italian Parliament in 2018, the 33-year-old candidate has served as a member of that body. She is a part of the Forza Italia party, which Mr. Berlusconi established back in 1994 when he first started becoming involved in politics.
In the meanwhile, his two eldest children, Marina and Pier Silvio, will be in charge of running his vast economic empire. The two individuals, who both already serve in executive capacities inside the company, will each have a stake in the Fininvest family holding equal to 53 percent.
In addition, he bequeathed 100 million Euros to his brother Paolo and 30 million Euros to Marcello Dell’Utri, a former senator with his Forza Italia party who was imprisoned for affiliation with the mafia. Both of these individuals served time in prison.
On June 12, Mr. Berlusconi passed away at the age of 86. He was a media mogul, businessman, and Italian prime minister who was a millionaire and dominated Italian public life for decades. He was brought to a hospital in Milan for what his assistants claimed were tests connected to his leukaemia that had been pre-planned.
On Tuesday, his last will and testament was read out in front of all of his witnesses, including his five children. He said in the will, “I leave the available stock in equal parts to my children Marina and Pier Silvio.” Pier Silvio and Marina are his children. I will give the remainder of everything to my five children Marina, Pier Silvio, Barbara, Eleonora, and Luigi in equal parts.”
His final words were, “Thanks, so much love to all of you, your Dad.” This was the closing statement of his will.
Notably, Mr. Berlusconi held the office of Prime Minister of Italy three times before being disqualified from the political arena for a period of six years due to a conviction for tax fraud. The larger-than-life figure, who once drew comparisons between himself and Jesus, held the position of Italy’s premier for the longest period of time but was also dogged by controversy.
In spite of having been diagnosed with leukaemia, he remained involved in politics until the very end, serving as a senator and as a partner in the right-wing administration led by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
He spent the better part of his life immersed in legal action, and the lawsuits surrounding his infamous “Bunga Bunga” sex parties, which were attended by young females and underage prostitutes, were finally resolved in February 2023. He was sentenced to life in prison. Even though his health issues were becoming worse, he never let it show, and he always made an effort to dress well. He took pride in his appearance.

After becoming infected with the coronavirus in September 2020, he spent 11 days in the hospital and afterwards described the experience as “perhaps the most difficult ordeal of my life.” In April of 2023, the medical professionals disclosed that he was in critical care due to leukaemia as well as a lung infection.
