ED alleges Yong AAP and Arvind Kejriwal in the Delhi excise policy case; also files a chargesheet.
On 27th Friday at the Rouse Avenue Rouse Court, ED (Enquiry Directorate) signed a prosecution complaint (chargesheet) involving the Chief Minister of Delhi, Mr. Arvind Kejriwal, and the Aam Aadmi party (AAP) as an accused in the money laundering case that is believed to be the result of the alleged corruption in the Delhi Excise Policy.

On 10 May 2023, the case was prosecuted again and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) named Bharath Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader K Kavitha & 4 others as accused.
Kejriwal happened to be detained by the ED on 21st of March and got into Tihar jail afterwards. After this, the Supreme Court chose to honor him with interim bail till 1st of June 2023 in order for him to be able to campaign around upcoming Lok Sabha elections as an AAP candidate.
On March 15, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) detained Kavitha, the daughter-in-law of KCR, when fraud charges were leveled against her as well.
It is after receiving a complaint from the Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) registered the case of money laundering in October 2022. This is said to be one of the cases that led to the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) money-laundering investigation.
It has been alleged that a plan of criminal conspiracy was running between AAP leaders, to involve Kejriwal, the former Deputy Chief Minister, Manish Sisodia, and others, in order to set up a system in Delhi’s Excise Policy of 2021-22 that could support specific liquor sellers.
According to the CBI and ED, one group of people, especially from Southern part of our country played their part in this process and some of the spoils of these transactions was allotted to Goa Election Fund as if it was one of the election campaign aids employed by AAP to campaign for Congress Party.
The registration of the case falls under sections of PC act and IPC 200 O.
On the other hand, he is also being investigated for similar allegations under ED’s seal.
