Suyal and two other Haryana residents, Jaishnav Kakkar and Yashkumar Parashar, were arrested by the Mumbai Police on the basis of a complaint submitted by two women who claimed their images were defamed after they were discussed by several people in the Clubhouse mobile application chatroom.
After being held in police custody until January 24, the three were remanded to court prison until January 28, 2022.
Their lawyers petitioned for bail right away, but since Akash and Jaishnav had failed a drug test, they were denied.
